Pathomorphological and immunohistochemical investigations of myelocytoma caused by avian leukosis virus – J in adult laying birds

چکیده
The subgroup J of avian leukosis virus causes myelocytomas, a neoplastic condition the birds that affects several visceral organs. In present study, myelocytomas were diagnosed in adult laying based on cytological and histopathological examination. On necropsy examination, showed enlarged liver spleen with multifocal tumorous growths liver, spleen, kidneys, lungs, ovary, proventriculus, intestine mesentery. Cytological examination impression smears from lesions revealed characteristic myeloid cell population granular cytoplasm large eccentric nucleus prominent nucleoli. Histopathologically, most organs infiltration uniform sized, cells arranged sheets or columns. These had number cytoplasmic acidophilic granules pleomorphic, vesicular lobulated few chromatin clumps. addition, mitotic figures also observed. confirmatory diagnosis was done by immunolocalization ALV-J viral antigen within infiltrating various tissues. Thus, study circulation causing myelocytomoa under field conditions Punjab, India. Further, cytopathology can be used as an alternative tool for this disease limited resources.

Investigations of Avian Leukosis Virus Subgroup J and Reticuloendotheliosis Virus Infections in Broiler Breeders in China
Avian leukosis virus subgroup J (ALV-J) and reticuloendotheliosis virus (REV) were detected in Arbor Acres (AA) parent broiler breeders between September 2008 and December 2009 in China. Samples from blood (n=1331) and sick chickens (n=152) were obtained from 19 flocks in China for serology, histopathology and PCR analysis. Serologic analysis revealed that the anti-ALV-J, -REV or -ALV-J and REV...

The aim of this study was to investigate the presence of antibodies to ALV-J in broilers and broiler breeders. For this, 5 broiler units and 1 broiler breeding unit in the Marmara region were visited. Seventy 4-6 -week-old chicks from the broiler units, consisting of 14 chicks from each broiler unit, were selected. Seventeen chickens from the broiler breeding unit were also selected. The chicks...

Avian Leukosis Virus Subgroup-J (ALV-J). Mycoplasma gallisepticum (MG) and MycopJasma synviae (MS) are important pathogens in chickens that cause severe economical losses in poultry industry throughout the world. Seven broiler grandparent flocks of Iran (six broiler strains) were sampled randomly at the ages of 8-63 wk (100 samples from each flock) for antibody detection to ALV-J, MG, and MS ...
